The delicate openwork of filigree basket design is expressed here with vines and scrolls on the shoulder and top, with an 8-prong round or slightly oval (sideset) head, taking a fairly large stone. The lower shank is smooth and narrow. This mounting works well in the white gold so popular in the 1920s, set with a richly-colored stone.
