The "cigar band" shank (flat and uniform width) is plain and smooth up to the delicate Eastlake shoulder patterns, from which rises a 6-prong oval head for a large (1½ to 3 carat) stone. As cigar bands go, this one is fairly narrow, so the lower shank should be comfortable even for those more accustomed to tapered shanks.
