The lower shoulders feature a delicate engraved pattern in the Eastlake style, but the flair (and flare) are at the shank tops, where an openwork curled X with crossbar will attach to whichever head suits your stone of choice (we recommend at least a ½ carat for this size shank). The lower shank is smooth and comfortable.
