The unlikely combination of "ladylike" and "cigar" works well in this distinctive mounting. The flat, uniform-width shank replicates a rather narrow paper cigar band, and the delicate engraved patterns on the shoulders are in the Eastlake style. A 6-prong head rides between two smooth crossbars, ready to carry a stone in the 1-carat range. The lower shank is smooth.
