Filigree, we'll agree, means delicate openwork patterns - in this case, tiny hearts alternate with round shapes, applied (applique') against sculpted strands and dots which also define the edges of the band. Voila - an ornately feminine Victorian wedding band. Add a head for the stone of your choice and it becomes an engagement ring. Either way, you have the option of leaving those six "rounds" open, or filling them with tiny colored stones or diamond melee. NOTE: If you want to fill the rounds with gemstones, let us add them for you or provide aid for your jeweler to set them so the culet (lower point of stone) does not poke the finger.
