The lower shank is smooth and narrow, but up top is a glorious swirl of Art Nouveau design, on a scale that supports a generous-size round or slightly oval gemstone. The head itself features four double-prongs, and between each doublet rises a scroll. Sculpted openwork scrolls continue down the shouldes.
